Premiere Pro - lips dont match audio - arg

Postby tjodork » Wed Dec 27, 2017 1:12 pm

I'm making a 60th anniversary video for parents....time running out.....
I had siblings and grandkids send a short video from cell phone...about 30 in all
PP CS4 would not handle MOV files so I used Iskysoft media converter to make an mp4 file.
the resulting videos play fine on their own...but when put in PP, some, not all, are OFF (lips and sound)
This is extremely frustrating and I thank God that I didn't get finish project and realize.
I then converted the problem ones to mpeg and that does not appear to be a problem.

It seems that if PP supports a file type it should work correctly.... did I do something wrong ?

Use Handbrake to convert instead:

If that doesn't fix the issue you can always sync manually. For the selected clip unlock the audio and video then by zooming into the timeline and clicking on the audio portion. While pressing and holding the alt button you can then use the arrow key to move the audio line to the right or to the left.
