inserting a sequence

Postby Matthew Max » Fri May 02, 2014 10:21 am

For some reason, all of a sudden I cannot figure out how to insert a second sequence as a new "tab" on the timeline.

HELPPPPPP! Thanks!

Wait -- I see that some of my footage is missing when I drag the sequence to the timeline. It shows in the monitor, but not on the timeline. So...is this related to my problem of not being able to add the sequence as a new "tab"?

I have the same problem with another project file when bringing in another sequence to that project!

I'm not sure what you're describing. Are you saying you can't create a new sequence or that you can't open an existing one?
If you double click an existing sequence in the project panel, it should open up the timeline for it.

What version of P Pro are you using?

I'm using 5.5.
I'm not creating any sequences. I'm trying to assemble. I double-click and the imported sequence does not open on the timeline.

How did you import it?

I assume you are importing correctly. But just to confirm, when you use ctrl+i to import the sequence are you selecting the ".proj" file or are you selecting the exported footage from that project? The way you describe it sounds like you imported footage rather than a project sequence. Also, you should have gotten a popup asking whether you wanted to import the entire project or just selected sequences. Which did you choose?

I imported the project file.
I selected the whole shabang.
Another time I tried selected just the whatever it is that's under the first thing. Just normal action is what I'm doing. I never have trouble importing anything.
