Zooming

Postby Cope This 719 » Wed Feb 26, 2014 12:23 am

Is it possible to select a small section of a set of frames and them enlarge this up to normal size.
I am using Premiere Pro 6

Any help most appreciated.

If I have understood correctly, John (and that is not guaranteed!) there are likely several ways to do this. Here's one way:-

Create a new sequence. Add the clip and trim it as needed so that the required frames remain. Use the Motion Effect>Scale to scale up the frames. Then either export the frames as a file for use elsewhere in the project or embed the sequence in the sequence where you want the frames to appear.

Look in the Effects Control Panel:

motion.JPG

Scaling above 100% will result in soft images and possible pixilation.

You can always create a project at lower size and use the bigger size video to have room to pan. Fof example if your footage is 1080P create a 720P video and import the 1080 P footage. This will give you pan and zoom room.
