Stop Markers

Postby borgie » Sat Aug 17, 2013 1:30 am

In Premiere Elements we have menu, scene and stop markers. In Premiere Pro we have chapter markers. Are there stop markers?
If yes, how are these generated?
If no, is there a way to indicate to Encore where a chapter ends when creating a Chapter Playlist?
Thanks in advance.

No, there are no Stop Markers in Encore. Encore uses a different DVD authoring engine than Premiere Elements. When used within a Chapter Playlist, chapters begin at the Chapter Marker and end at the next Chapter Marker (or the end of the timeline if no more markers are present). All you need to do is add the desired Chapter Markers to the Chapter Playlist in the order you want them to play.

Borgie,

A book recommended to me by a Muvipixer;

The Focal Easy Guide to:
Adobe Encore DVD 2.0
by Jeff Bellune

It covers an early version of Encore but I still refer to it and I'm on Encore CS5, worth a read.

Thanks Gerry. Sorry for the delay to reply.
Actually, I do have 'Learning Adobe Encore CS6' by Jeff Sengstack. It explains things very well. However, in one of the timelines imported from Premiere Pro the tutorial on Chapter Playlists shows Chapter Markers each followed by a marker of different shape but same chapter number. I took these markers to be stop markers! Hence, my original question to the forum.
