Premiere Pro 6

I have just heard that Premiere Pro cs6 will be the last version. This will be replaced by the "Cloud Version" at about $50:00 per month.
Has anyone heard whether this is true. I hope not as a retired bloke I could not afford $600:00 p.a. providing that Adobe leave the monthly fee at $50:00

I have just heard that Premiere Pro cs6 will be the last version.

CS6 will be the last Creative Suite (CS) version with a perpetual license. After that it will be called Creative Cloud (CC) with a subscription -- no more perpetual license. You can still buy CS6 full or upgrade from CS5.x, but Adobe hides it pretty well. Here's the link.

Adobe has a 1-year CC introductory pricing for existing customers with CS3 or later. A single application will be $10/month, the full (formerly Master Collection) CC will be $20/month if you have CS6 or $30/month if you have CS3 to CS5. After a year, it will be $20/month for an application or $50/month for the full collection.
