Motion Menus in Encore

Postby thhult » Wed Feb 13, 2013 5:45 am

Hi,
In a project I have a main menu and a submenu. Both menus should have animated background and sound.
I have imported an animated sequence (from muvipix) that is 8 seconds long and a soundtrack about 3 minutes.
From the menu properties motion-tab I drag links to the animated sequence and the soundtrack.
The settings control Duration is set to the length of the soundtrack (3 minutes), Loop # = Forever and Loop point = 0.
I test with Preview and render all is ok the first 8 sec (the length of the animated sequence) and then the background is white with only sound.
When I remove the sound you see the animated background forever.
Is the problem that the two files have different length ?

Does anyone have any suggestions for a solution ?

Regards
Thomas

Yes, you need to make the sound match the background in length.
I have run into this same problem in the past. Someone else may know of another way to solve the problem.

Thanks Chuck you convinced me. I set manually the length of the soundtrack in the duration field and render. After 6 minutes, everything worked as it should.
The problem is that when you linked the video clip and the sound clip, you have the duration of the video clip in the duration automatically
Thanks for your support.
