Removing Lens Flare

Postby borgie » Thu Jan 31, 2013 2:36 pm

Is it possible to remove lens flare in Premiere Pro without resorting to After Effects? Does anyone know of a tutorial explaining how to do this? :conf:
Thanks

Is this lens flare in a video? That's going to be a little harder than a still image. Here is a great tutorial for Photoshop Lens Flare Removal

The lens flares (3 of them moving all over the frame) are the result of my grand daughter zooming in and out directly into the setting sun from the Santa Monica Pier. I am still struggling with the Color Correction tutorials and I think I will look into this (perhaps) when I get a bit more expertise.
Thanks Chuck for the response.

Hi, Borgie--

No, if you had the camcorder aimed at the sun, there is no way to remove the lens flare from your shot. Sorry.

I agree with Mom. Besides, people pay a lot of money for Plug-ins like Knoll Light Factory, to add artificial lens flares to their video.
