ProShow dead now

ProShow is being discontinued. Instead they are offering a subscription model with a different name.

That's really too bad because it was a great product :(

Any suggestions on a competent replacement?

I'm assuming the existing version that I purchased will continue to work?

I'm not buying into the new Photopia subscription model: https://photopia.nl/subscribe/.
I'd MAYBE consider it at HALF those prices, but I doubt it.

It will work until is doesn't work anymore, if that helps any. Not going to guarantee it will work on new machines or a new machine 2 years from now. It should continue to work on any existing machine it is currently running on Dave.

As I am obliged to a new computer later this year the activation server will no longer work properly according to some messages at the ProShow Enthusiast forum. Therefor I stepped over to PTE AV Studio Pro 10.

I just learning but it seems to me so far that more or less the same possibilies are build in. Missing are the different packs with transitions and effects but they had als a price.

For now I am thing it is a good replace if you are used to the new interface.
