That printer at Microcenter is much cheaper than Amazon which sells the same printer for $428. But look at the Amazon reviews. Some report ink issues.

If you do go with a new printer I have had an Epson ET-7750 for about a year now and love it. You wouldn't need the large format one probably, I just happened to get a deal and thought it might be nice to be able to print something 17 inches long, haven't done that yet although I have photo paper ready. Ink is cheap, had to replace the maintenance box once and that is about $20 but it comes with an extra one. Can't say enough good things about this printer, a little expensive but in the long run well worth the price.

Sidd, the touch screen won't work to get to the set up menu.

TreeTops, friend is getting a special price for me. I'll check out the Amazon reviews.

Chuck, I did look at one of tankless. There was one on sale for about $550. Since I don't print all that much I was concerned about the tankless drying up. If we still had the girls at home in college that would be good with the way they print. For just me it could be overkill.

Not sure if this will help anyone.

I've just realized I can't get the old printer preferences panel in regular printing or Photoshop CS6. I'll need to read this message and the MS forum message and maybe it will begin to make sense to me. Mostly we've only printed recipes in the last few months. I did realize that in 'regular' printing I did not have the choice to use black ink only and hate wasting all the colors for combined black but didn't take the time to look further. Now I need to print from Photoshop.

Epson Artisan 720 .

Sure wish I still had a way to use Win 7.

Paz thanks for the link. I had that problem when I went to a new build. But, the missing panel was user error. I was plugging in the USB before running the set up file. Sadly the printer is now dead. The touch screen wouldn't work to set up as Wifi. Trying different USB cables would not work.
