Postby momoffduty » Thu Jan 16, 2020 4:04 pm

The computer will not wake up from sleep. I have a keyboard and wireless mouse. Changed the USB ports for both and both are check marked in Device Mgr. to allow computer to wake up under Power Mgmt.

Just a longshot:
Try updating the graphics driver.

Also, make sure all Windows Updates are installed.
You may need to update the chipset drivers.

In the Device Mgr. I checked for the graphic card update and said it was up to date. Checked for Windows Updates and only one for Windows Defender. I don't know anything about chipset drivers.

You can't believe what Windows tells you. Go directly to the video card manufacturer's site to find the drivers.
What video card do you have?
What driver number do you have?

I need to allow hibernation in order for my UPS to work properly during a power outage, surge, or brownout.

There was a loss of power a week ago right after I got the new build. Had to turn off and on a few times to get it to power off. I called the friend who built it and he said there are safety features built in is why it took me a few tries. I guess to simulate when you have the power flicker on and off? I did buy new surge protector strips for the unit.

I think I will just not let it hibernate and turn off each night.
