Use the link above to discover a wealth of courses which are free and may be of interest. I won't try to summarise their own story.
The courses are prepared by a variety Universities and Colleges around the World, not just the UK.

Some of the courses (with their start dates) that I have selected are;
Visual Effects for Guerrilla Filmmakers - Aug 8th
The Business of Film - June 13th
Unlocking Film Right (Understanding UK Copyright)
3D Graphics for Web Developers - Jul 4th

On some of the digital courses they have provided free versions of software (so I'm told);
hitfilm3 express - together with some good samples for digital video effects
blender - for 3D graphics
