Re: Bad motherboard/BIOS?One last comment on this subject. I had a freeze today and the system events are the same as reported before, but this time there were no errors in the application events.

It is already present on your computer, it is free and might help pinpoint a problem; especially if it identifies a common sequence of events that cause the problem.
