"Somehow" I've managed to get a copy of My Documents and my Desktop folders into my Music Folder. I use a tablet (no mouse), and I've been finding lately that I'm dragging things around when I don't realize my pen is touching the tablet. So I tried deleting a file from the 'extra' Desktop and found it DID delete from the normal Desktop folder .. so now I'm afraid of destroying the original folders. How do I get rid of these without doing damage to my normal folders. Using Win7 Home 64-bit file-structure.jpg

Hi Jayell, You've inadvertently stumbled into the the Windows 7 "Library" feature. Here is some information about libraries and how to work with them. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/features/librariesI don't have time to explain things in detail right now. Read the material at the link I gave and I'll get back to you later and try to explain what to do.

Right click on folder -> Remove location from library. That was waaay too easy. But I found the link you provided extremely informative, Bob. Lots of things I didn't know about files, folders, and searching in Win7. Thanks for pointing me to that link!

Yeah, but he's sooo annoying .. always hanging around .. with all the answers just when you need them. Always there to save the day just when you think your project will never work. Don't you hate that?!

You're welcome, Jayell. I've been noticing there has been much more self-help lately. Pretty soon, I won't be needed any more. Don't you just hate that?!
