Burning to blu-ray on a Mac

Postby boogieted » Sat Mar 23, 2013 12:08 pm

I am considering purchasing this external blu-ray writer to use with PE11 on my iMac. I wanted to find out if anyone had successfully authored blu-ray movies from an iMac.

It's a while since your original post ... but assuming you are still interested, I can confirm that this Bluray burner works very will with my late 2012 mac mini - so I would not expect you to have any problems with an imac. I have burned both BD and AVCHD discs straight from Premiere Elements 11, and have not had a coaster yet!

Yes, I wasn't 100% sure either, but gave the benefit of the doubt. :conf:

I can confirm that, using PE9 on a Mac, I am able to burn video to a blu-ray disc using the above external burner from my original post. It takes a long time, but seems to work well.
