Postby ryan_khoo » Tue Nov 01, 2011 10:54 am

Anyone kind enough to show me how to flip a photo in iPhoto ?

Hi Mitchell, Welcome to Muvipix :meet:

Couple of answers from http://forums.dealmac.com/read.php?4,2460706

Two different ways to get the same result:
1. Open iPhoto preferences and specify that when you double-click on a photo, you'd like it to open in Preview (or your external photo editor of choice). Double-click on the photo in question, it opens up in Preview, flip horizontal, save, quite Preview. iPhoto will reflect the change almost instantly.

2. If you only want to do this very occasionally, a better idea would be to export the photo to the desktop, open in Preview, make the change, save. You can optionally re-import the "corrected" photo into iPhoto as a new picture.

I spent ages trying to flip my images (for printmaking) in iphoto before reading this forum. Tried some suggestions, and then by pure chance right clicked on the image when it was in 'printing' mode and there it was 'MIRROR IMAGE' Yeah, problem immediately solved - it only took half an hour of searching and one minor techno tantrum...
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.
