This looks more like a 'real' camcorder than some of the cheapy 'flip style' units. Sanyo Xacti High Definition SDHC Camcorder with 30X Optical Zoom and Bonus Pack # Captures high definition 1280×720 30fps video in H.264/MPEG-4 AVC format # Record directly to SD/SDHC memory cards (1GB SD card included, accepts up to 32GB SDHC) http://www.woot.com/ 3/10/2010 only.

Yes, saw that when I got up this morning. Interesting, especially given the price. But plan to spend more - the included 1GB ain't gonna get you far, and it looks like there is an issue with battery life so you will need a few extras.

The reviews seem to say it's ok outdoors, but indoors it is not so good.

For what it's worth, I've fielded a lot of questions from people on the Adobe forum who could not get this cam to interface with Premiere Elements.

Maybe. It's probably not fair to judge by forum posts -- since you never hear from the people who aren't having problems.
I just think it's always a good idea to stick with Sony, Canon or Panasonic camcorders. They seem to interface the most readily with these programs.

I saw that, Ken, and again I was tempted.
If it weren't for all of the challenges that cam poses for Premiere Elements, I might consider it...
