Re: HV 40 from Skypointdigital.comHere is your answer Mark.
http://thoughts-of-dave.blogspot.com/20 ... t-and.html http://www.ripoffreport.com/cameras-vid ... -24e72.htm Just Google skypointdigital, lots of info on what a scam they are. Be careful of websites that have ridiculously low prices. Most of them will sell you the product and then tell you they are out of stock. Then they try to sell you something even more expensive or end up giving you a cheaper item at the same price. Many people have been taken by these sharks and never get their money back. Be careful I bought my HV40 from Dell for $799, you can trust them and companies like Amazon, NewEgg, Tiger Direct, and B&H. 1. Re: HV 40 from Skypointdigital.comI buy lots of things over the web but I never, ever buy anything from a website where the contact details are hidden and the only method of contact is by their usually supplied e-mail address.
Not entirely failsafe, I agree, but I would never, ever even contemplate buying an expensive item from any website that didn't detail a physical (street) address and contact phone number applicable to that area. Re: HV 40 from Skypointdigital.comHere is a good site to run these scam sites through:
http://www.resellerratings.com/ And a few things to watch for: They are generally based out of NJ. (Although there are plenty of legit businesses based out of NJ too.) They are not open on Sat and Sun. They generally have a picture of some sales rep with a headset. Their prices are unbelievably low. I wish I were creative enough to write something witty here.
Re: HV 40 from Skypointdigital.comGood site Tiny,
http://www.resellerratings.com/store/SkyPointDigital 16 ratings and all poor, they have a score of 0 (ZERO) !!! That's REALLY bad 1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

Re: HV 40 from Skypointdigital.comThanks for all the heads up!!! I'll steer clear.
