That is correct. Tiger Direct took over the Web Operations and sold the Tech Support contracts (TAP) off to an insurance company. Now that nice Mac computer I bought my daughter that had the walk-in service provision, requires me to send them the battery and wait two weeks for it to come back. I am normally not an extended warranty guy, but with a notebook computer it seemed prudent. With the way Assurant is working, that was a wasted $500.

The HV40 hit $799 at Dell today so I bit the bullet and bought one, Up, Up and Away, into the world of full time HDV :yh:

Got a refurb HV30 and looking for a spare battery. Found this at B&H, but the specs do not include the HV30:

This one is not a Canon battery like the one above. The reviews say it is heavy and doesn't fit the HV20 slot. Will this fit the HV30 slot?

Cheryl I have the HV30 and have that battery (Canon BP-2L14).
