My question will be "How do I get a referee to wear this camera?"

Their response will "who will wear it?"

If we do then we can deal with how s/he is missing offences which we can see and replay from our video. Is this taking training tooooooo far for an amateur sport?

That's cool. It makes driving around look like a real adventure. I thought the image was pretty good. I could see some blurring around trees and stuff, but otherwise the color was good.

How come when I click on Sid's link, it takes me to a video by Donna.

I did find the undercar helmet cam video, but I had to go to Sid's videos in the gallery.

I fixed the link. Most times people don't go to the actual video page and copy the link from the proper location. Sidd's video was the most recent when he copied the link, but the link will always take you to the most recent video no matter what one that is.

To copy a link to a specific video you need to go to the specific video page and copy the URL in the video info section.

And, in case anyone is curious, Sidd lives in San Jose, so those are the streets of the Bay Area in his video.

It would look cooler if I did that in San Francisco then I could call it the streets of San Francisco. It was already jumpy enought I do not want to get the viewers motion sick.

When I was a teenager, my friends and I would try to create and shoot our own car chases on 8mm FILM (not video) -- which is about as easy to edit as linguini.

If we had access to the equipment and special effects we just play with today, Man! What fun we'd have! (Well, assuming we didn't hit any other cars, that is.)

I remember trying to figure out how to bolt the camera to the front bumper of my car to get that "French Connection" el train chase thing going...

A car chase would be really cool. I bet superimposing a still image of the inside of a car would make it look like there was someone in there driving. Who knew this little camera would be that much fun.

Looks like a really cool camera, It looks a bit pricey $349 and it records to MPEG4. I wonder how the editing would be on that. But it looks like it sets the bar on helmet cameras.

Cool stuff thanks for sharing

helmet camcorder (update)

Postby sidd finch » Wed Apr 23, 2008 11:36 am

So in my continuing Helmet cam adventures I stumbled across this website for the ATC 2K camera that I purchased.

The web site is called Utah Trikes. http://www.utahtrikes.com/playvideo-15.html

They had a modification to add a wide angle lens to the ATC 2K camera which looked pretty cool. Although I am a huge fan of the wide angle lens, I am not sure if I want to tear apart my camera and loose its waterproof ability.

The web site did have a great tip regarding the video. They said to de-interlace the video. I de-interlaced my video and it made the video 100% better.
