GS200

Postby AVITRY » Fri Nov 04, 2016 8:16 pm

Man what a mess I'm in with this Canopus 300. Anyway, I pulled my GS200 MiniDV camcorder out of mothballs and I figured I better start converting some of these VHS tapes someway until I get this Canopus figured out.

Now, I can't figure out how to do a pass through with the gs200. I have both the cables ... DV and jack to composite. But I don't recall how to do it and I cant' find a step by step in the manual.

What camcorder mode do I turn the dial to? Do I take the miniDV tape out of the deck to do this? Any help would be appreciated, I just can't remember much anymore.

thanks,
joe

IF your camcorder is capable doing a passthrough, set it to camcorder mode and unlock it but do not put a tape in it.

Your VHS attaches to the camcorder via RCA cables, and the camcorder attaches to your computer via FireWire.

If the Canopus doesn't work Its very possible the camcorder won't either until you solve your issue with the Firewire. Either way I sure hope you get this working Joe :TU:
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.
