Hi Guys,
Based on a recent thread here and on Steve's advice re: CAD U37 microphone, I just recently invested in one for myself
and hubby, arrived today from Amazon, great service I have to say.Have been playing around with it and am very happy with the results, but one question, probably silly I am sure, but I am use to be able to turn off my old mic by a switch on the front, can't seem to find anything remotely like it with this one.
Is it ok just to leave on while not using it, or should I disconnect the lead each time.
Thanks and sorry if it is a dumb question. \:D/

Glad to hear you're as happy with this mike as I am, Bubby!

No, there's no off switch. I just unplug the USB when I'm not using it. But there's also no harm in just leaving it plugged in all the time.

Yes, by all means unplug it when not using it. There is a hack that allows others to listen in if mike is connected. http://wonderhowto.com/how-to/hack-like-pro-remotely-record-listen-microphone-anyones-computer-0143966/

Your better microphones don't have a switch.
Professional stage and studio microphones don't have switches because than can cause noise and or fail.
Thanks
Richard

hpharley, now you've got me concerned about my webcam!

I hate to think hackers can watch me playing on my computer in my pajamas.
