I don't have any blank inkjet discs. Burned the first cake no problems. The second cake was hit and miss on bad burns and used them all. The third cake I sent back. I am on my 4th or 5th cake of LS discs and all of those have been fine. SMS is sending out a new cake of injet to replace the third cake I sent back. It will be interesting to see if they have the logo. I went to a big box store and got injet CDs. May stick with that store for awhile even tho it is more $, but less head ache.

Thanks for that DVD Identifier, very helpful.

Very strange. I have only ever had one bad burn with Verbatim and that was because there was a clearly obvious manufacturing fault on that disc.

Being from the UK I am not familiar with SuperMediaStore. My only comment is that if they are a significant supplier in volume terms then it would be very hard to believe that they would jeopardise their business reputation with a 'substitution scam'.

You say that they won't take back any opened cake boxes but, as Dave says, if the batch is definitely faulty a reputable store woyuld swap them and take up the issue with their supplier.

The big box store will give you a credit, but SMS has a return policy in fine print. Their email said to send the discs back for replacement. After I did that their email said no refund on the CDs since some are missing. The DVDs were going to be replaced, but today received a credit to my paypal less $2. I tried calling a few times but it is not toll free and put on hold forever and one time received voice mail after holding.

I think I will just cut my losses and move on.

I don't know what your personal experience with the Taiyo Yudens has been Cheryl, but I can personally recommend them.

Dave, have never tried those. I've read good reviews here from others so may try them out.

The same with Verbatim. Avoid the Value and Life series. DataLifePlus seems to be different than the Life series, but I'm not familiar with it. Your experience with that series doesn't give me much confidence in it.

I was wondering about the Data Life too. I may buy Verbatim again from NewEgg and get the hub printable and go with 16x. Change things up a bit so I don't get the same bad lot. I can only find 100 cakes in the Tys, prefer 50 cakes.
