Burning DVD's With Imgburn

Postby Greg mgm » Thu Apr 07, 2011 2:00 pm

At the end of a project and want to burn dvd's for home dvd players. I burned 2 dvd's and both just had mpeg files on them. No info for a dvd player.
What settings do I need in imgburn to make them include the TS files on the dvd's?

Previously I used Nero, but I'm on a newer pc which doesn't have that program. I'm a imgburn newbie.

ImgBurn is burner software only. It doesn't "author" your DVD.

To do that, you need to use a program like Premiere Elements, DVD Architect or Encore that will actually produce the DVD files and create them as files on your computer.

The DVD files will be a series of .vob files inside a folder named VIDEO_TS. You can then use a program like ImgBurn to burn this folder (with the files inside it) to a disc. This will be a playable DVD.

Imgburn is a great little utility but is only for burning DVD images as Steve says. You can find some detailed guides to Imgburn's functions here:-
