Burn a name effect

Postby Jay » Mon Jul 27, 2009 9:58 am

Need a jump start on how to burn a name into a tree with smoke. I don't want to use the
lightning effect its too overwhelming. I have no problem with getting the smoke
but animating the type with keyframing is giving me some trouble. I want to use the fonts at
http://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=106. I have After effects/PE7/CS3 PS.
Any help is appreciated

Hi Jay,
This tutorial will show you how to annimate your text
http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorial/graffiti_writing/
then copy / paste the mask path to your smoke position, so it follows your "reveal" I don't know if this is the look you want but I did this.....
