Quickie - Repeated linear gradients

Postby Chris B » Tue Feb 17, 2009 6:20 pm

Just a quickie - I didn't know this and it may be a bug/feature specific to PE4.

Create a linear gradient on an object in the titler. Then select radial gradient. Choose a number of repeats (say 3) then change back to the linear gradient. The linear gradient is now repeated the same number of times as the radial one.

It is of course at this point someone details how to do this in the linear gradient screen and I've just missed it.... #-o

Yes, I see what you are talking about. Obviously, the workaround is to remove the Repeats, before you go back to Linear Gradient, because that control is no longer available, though you can go back to Radial Gradient and remove the Repeats. Wonder if PE7 behaves the same way.

OTOH, one can change their Linear Gradient in ways that might prove useful and creative.

It's either a Bug, or an "undocumented feature... "

Yes, and so does PE3. That "feature" has been around a while.

OK, now everyone knows that I started with PE4!

While it could be disconcerting, there could be uses of this "quirk."
