Really Cool Luce Plugin + demo.

Postby Chris B » Thu May 17, 2007 4:12 pm

Hi All,

I saw this over at the PE forums. Chuck said he would link to it from here - but I can't find if/where he did that. anyhow - this uses the Luce plugin from

http://amicoperry.altervista.org/luce/main.html

My demo

http://www.muvipix.com/cpg/displayimage.php?pos=-783

does a few more things than the one in the original thread here

http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx/.3bc3ef6c/2

And - as per my own suggestion - the .prel file and addittional picture I used is here. (Picture generated in the GIMP.)

Have fun.

Chris.

P.S. The clip is in 16:9 - the display in the gallery squashes it a bit...

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the great demo, I love the Smoke effect!

Are you using version 2 or 3? Can you use any other color for the text other than just white? Can you make the rays different colors?

Just asking in case you have been experimenting :)

The original thread is in Tools

"Stuck" on V2 here....

Did try with colours - and it was ... nasty ....

It's probably easier to use White and then change the RGB balance to give the colour you want.

I also noticed some "digital acne" around the letters on the smoke demo (I overlayed another version of the title to make it white again.) You could probably do the same to make a textured/coloured title with different coloured rays. Example:

PS. - Sorry for starting another thread. I never looked in the tools forum before...

However - a plugin as cool as this needs mentioning twice

Chris.
