Moving actions between versions

Postby Ted » Sun Feb 06, 2011 1:38 pm

Hello all,

I have an action I created to add a watermark to my photos.

Is there a way to export it or somehow move it to Ver 9? Or must I create it all over again (something I've forgotten how to do! LOL)

Thanks for any tips. :)

I think you only have to import it into the new version Ted.
Someone should be along with instructions before long, I am not very versed on Actions myself.
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

Thanks, Chuck. Worse case scenario, I can do a Yahoo! search for perhaps a tutorial. :)

You are talking about Photoshop Elements, right Ted?
This is in the Premiere Elements forum, that's why I ask.

Hi Ted,

Is that you who posted your question over on elementsvillage.com ?
http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/s ... ht=actions

I ask because it seems that you may have a solution. I don't immeidately know the answer but if you are still looking , I can do more research.

Hi Barb!

The Internet is smaller than I thought! LOL!

Yes, that's me... and I believe that solution may work. When I get home I'm going to check it out. My biggest challenge was locating where the action files were on my Win 7 machine.

Maybe it's time I invest in a Mac! ;)

Thanks for looking out for me. :) Much appreciated!
