What would be the easiest way to add the attached logo to a picture? All I want is the heart and the Gifts from the Heart wording.
Thanks

Re: Adding a Logo to a pictureDo you have Photoshop Elements Donna?
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.
2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.
Re: Adding a Logo to a pictureHi Donna,
The quickest way is to open the image in Photoshop, double click on the layer in the layers pallet and give it a name other than background Then use the magic wand in photoshop to click on a white part of the image. press delete. You should see gray and white in the background (this represents transparency) Finally, all you have to do is save it as a image that supports transparency. TIFFS are good for images with lots of colours, like pictures. GIFS are good for web and clipart type images. If you are using it in video you can save as a psd and use that in Premiere Elements. Re: Adding a Logo to a pictureOh yeah and make sure Contiguous is unchecked when you go to use the magic wand tool. Otherwise the white pieces inside the loop won't get selected.

Re: Adding a Logo to a pictureI was wondering what would happen if you brought it into Premiere Element and used the chroma key on the white and then exported a snap shot of a frame. My only concern is that the image might not be of good enough quality, Jamal has a better method that will give you much better quality.
You can even zoom in and use the eraser tool to clean it up if the magic wand doesn't get everything. 1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

Re: Adding a Logo to a pictureThanks Jamal. I never think about the magic wand.
Chuck, it needs to be the best quality possible. It' going on a picture for our fund raiser. I gave the video for the auction and the committee was really happy to get it. They don't have anything like it. Can't wait to see what it brings in.. Thanks for the help. Now I have got to get this logo on the picture. I am not so sure it is going to look that good but that's what the director of the school wants. The picture is B & W. It's a matter of preference but I am not really fond of the gold on it. We'll see how it looks when it is finished. Thanks again Donna Go out and make it a great day. The choice is yours!

Re: Adding a Logo to a pictureSounds great, glad to hear you are doing the video
The magic wand will work great, just remember you may need to zoom in and clean it up with the eraser a little. If you have any questions you know where to find us Thanks Jamal ! Any snow yet? 1. Re: Adding a Logo to a pictureI've been practicing extraction and cut outs lately. So I played around with this one. You might do better if you spend more time at it.

Re: Adding a Logo to a pictureDonna if you download it you will be able to place this image into your other file. It's a .png and I saved the transparency with it.
BTW how did you size you image in the first post. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. _| /-\ /\/\ /-\ |_

Donna, When I said you might do better if you spent more time at it ... I meant you might do better than me if you spent more time at it than me. _| /-\ /\/\ /-\ |_
Re: Adding a Logo to a pictureThanks Jamal. The first post was a scanned picture, I didn't do any sizing on it.
