Personalized DVD templates - oops!

Postby Jayell » Tue Oct 23, 2007 3:59 pm

I decided to make some personalized DVD templates (have done 2 previously successfully) using Photoshop Elements 5.

I made a few changes to both the MAIN menu (removing unwanted buttons and replacing the background photo) and the SCENES menu (adding scenes and replacing the background photo and renaming it to 'background' in both cases), and made a new folder with my changed templates.

This is what happens. When I open the DVD tab (in PremEl V2) to choose a template, both templates show the new colored background as created. When I choose that template to use it in my video, the MAIN menu is perfect. The SCENES menu now shows all the added scenes, but the background is white .. rather than the purple from the background photo that I used. I used the same exactl photo on the MAIN menu, and it displays properly. I even went through the entire process in Photoshop Elements 5 of choosing that photo, renaming it, removing the old background just to make sure I didn't miss something.

I don't know what I'm looking for that went wrong. Help!

First, in Premiere Elements DVD workspace, go to the scene menu and click the Reset button for the background, just to make sure there's not some swap going on.

If that doesn't work and you're still stuck, you can e-mail the template to steve@muvipix.com and I'll have a look at it.
