Is it possible to do that -- or otherwise import a Word doc into Photoshop? Or do I need some kind of third-party software to handle the conversion?
thanks

thanks steve
Re: converting a Word doc to a jpg?It depends on what you are trying to do.
The simplest way that I use is to copy from the Word document, paste onto a new Photoshop CS3 canvas, then tidy up the fonts etc. as required, save as a jpg/psd or whatever and then import that file as a layer into whatever I am working on. There may be easier ways but that works for me. AMD Ryzen 3900x 12C/24T, ASUS x570 mobo, Arctic Liquid Freezer ll 280, Win11 64 bit, 64GB RAM, Radeon RX 570 graphics, Samsung 500GB NVMe 980 PRO (C:), Samsung 970 Evo SSD (D:), Dell U2717D Monitor, Synology DS412+ 8TB NAS, Adobe CS6.
Re: converting a Word doc to a jpg?If that doesn't work, you can do it this way:
Print your Word document as a PDF. This product is free for personal use and will allow you to output a PDF from your Word doc. http://www.cutepdf.com/ Then you can open the PDF with Photoshop. From there you can flatten the layers and export it as any picture format. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: converting a Word doc to a jpg? Thanks, John. I'll give that a try.
cheers, steve

Re: converting a Word doc to a jpg?If your word document fits on one screen, you could Screen print it (as an image) and paste it into many places.
Re: converting a Word doc to a jpg?We have a program that will take any document and create a multi page TIFF for faxing, if you own Microsoft Office I think you can do it with Microsoft Office Document Imaging (included with Microsoft Office). Here is a shareware program that should work well also http://www.tucows.com/preview/405702
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.
2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.
Re: converting a Word doc to a jpg?You could also do it the "Poor Man's Way" -- get your document on the screen and hit the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard.
Open Photoshop, select "New" and it'll automatically size the new file to whatever's in the cache... in this case the screen shot of your document and desktop. Paste, crop and voila. If the whole document doesn't fit, scroll down, do another screen shot, and piece it together in Photoshop. Dell XPS 8500 desktop w/ Intel i7-3770 CPU @ 3.4ghz / 22 gigs RAM / Radeon HD7570 1g dedicated video memory/ PrEl 11 & 9 / Photoshop and Illustrator CS5 / After Effects CS4 / Olympus OM-D E-M5 DSLR (1080i HD video)
Time is money, life is change.
Re: converting a Word doc to a jpg?If you have Snagit 8 installed, you can print to the Snagit printer, which will open up the Snagit Capture window. Then you can select from several different file formats, including but not limited to PDF and JPEG.
