Hello from Patti in North Carolina. I've been shooting home video for years but editing only about a year. I bought Premiere Elements 2 after a trip to Machu Picchu; I fought with the program until I found the wonderful Premiere Elements 2 in a Snap book and the Premiere Elements forum at Adobe's web site. I'm excited about muvipix!!

My major video interests are capturing vacations, family events, and the cats at Carnivore Preservation Trust where I volunteer on weekends.

Welcome Patti,
You and my youngest daughter would get along great, she is a huge pet rescue volunteer.

Where on earth is Machu Picchu and what is there? I know I could Google it but why when I can hear from someone who's been there :)

Machu Picchu

Postby PattiJ » Fri Feb 23, 2007 7:50 am

Machu Picchu is in Peru near Cuzco. It is an Inca city high in the Andes that was deserted before the Spanish conquistadores could find and destroy it. It was built in the 1600s and rediscovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911. Most archaeologists believe it was a retreat for Inca leaders and their entourage. The stonework is incredible, and the setting high in the mountains is unbelievably beautiful.

Maybe I should post a Machu Picchu video!

As I recall, it was featured in 'Motorcycle Diaries' (A good movie by the way). I saw a bit about it on the history channel.

I'd love to see some footage if you're so inclined too.
