Hello Steve
I live in Luton, Beds Nr London U.K. I have purchased your "The Muvipix. com Guide to PSE&PE-7" from Amazon U.K. with no problems.
I have read quite a bit so far up to chapter 15, I have only ever used PhotoShop Elements 4 so far, making Slide Shows from holiday photo's and old scanned photo's, not using Premier Elements 2 which I have and I'm very pleased with the results.
Is it worth upgrading to PhotoShop Elements 7 ??? I have'nt got, or likely to have a CamCorder now, so would I REALLY need Premier Elements 7 ????
I had a bad experience with PhotoShop Elements 6 and after a LOT of hassle reverted back to PE 4.
The only poor shots I have with PE4 are when I turn the camera 45 degrees for tall buildings etc. they display on the TV screen split into 3 sections with blank spaces each side of the picture, could I improve on that.
PE 4 has a User Guide Book, PE 6 has an Online User Guide, I'm sure your Guide Book will be VERY popular.
Good Luck and Thank's once again for all your help

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Desmo! Our plan at Muvipix is to continue to support new versions of the software with new books, as they become available.

As for whether or not you need to upgrade -- I'd say that, if you're happy, don't change. You usually don't get a big increase in performance with each generation of the software. Just new features. So, unless you find something compelling about the features, stick with what you have -- particularly if it's working for you!

Photoshop Elements, in particular, was essentially born done. The newer versions have added some cool new features, but the basic editing functions themselves have remained unchanged.

With Premiere Elements, Adobe has added increased support for new camcorder technology and changes in operating systems in addition to some new usability features. But there, again, if you don't see an immediate need to have these new features, stick with what you have.

Anybody disagree?

Hello Bob
I do'nt understand "Pitch and Roll" I'm afraid but the problem with PE 6 ^ was for the life of me I could not control the volume of the music I added to my C.D.s it always drowned my narrations, this is no problem with PE 4.
I'm sorry I duplicated my post, I know where to find it now.
Thank's again

Hello Steve
Thank's for your prompt reply, yes!!!! I'll stay with what I've got now after reading your explanation it makes sense.

What about my question re: photo's taken with the camera held at 45 degrees, is that also well left alone.
All the Best

Looks like our thread is beginning to fray! Too many conversations going on at once!

Desmo, how about starting a new thread on the Photoshop Elements sub-forum so we can focus on your questions, okay?

I just purchased the book from amazon, so it is there.

Can't wait to get it. Im new to the video editing scene and I have a video to do rather quickly. I am an instructor at a law enforcement academy, and I like to put together a movie for each class detailing them from the day they arrived to graduation. Going to be alot of fun and they will have something to remember their experience by.

I just bought the PRE/PHOTOSHOP 7.

And thanks for supporting the site and the book, bp!

We'd love to hear more about what you're doing and where you're doing it. (We even have a sub-forum just for introductions!) We've got such a wide variety of skills and experience here at Muvipix.

It sounds like some people have been able to buy the new book fropm the UK Amazon web site, but I can't find it anywhere either with a general search or looking on the UK muvipix shop.

Can someone include a link to the book on the UK Amazon site.

Thanks.

I don't think it is available from Amazon UK. :(

I had to buy the "The Muvipix .com Guide to DVD Architect Studio 4.5" from Amazon USA.

I'm also glad to ship a copy directly to you, if it's unavailable in your country or if it's cheaper to ship than buying from Amazon USA.
