Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Postby Chuck Engels » Fri Dec 21, 2007 3:48 pm

To Everyone at Muvipix.com, may God bless us, every one!

I hope you all get to watch some Christmas classics over the weekend.
My favorites;
White Christmas
It's A Wonderful Life
Charlie Brown Christmas

And that you have time to reflect on the true reason for the season :)
Sure, Charlie Brown, I can tell you. Lights, please.

"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the fields, keeping watch over their flocks by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the lord shone round about them, and they were afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not, for behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you this day is born in the City of Bethlehem, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; you shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel, a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth peace, good will toward men'". That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie brown.

Not really a movie, but my favorite, all time Christmas show is 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer'. A tie for second is definitely 'Charlie Brown Christmas' and 'Frosty the Snowman'.

Movies? We watch them all during the entire season. It's definitely the "Most Wonderful Time of the Year" at our house.

-Ron

Considering that we were alive when most of these were made must make us Classics too :)

No offense, folks, but I'd take "Love Actually" over "Christmas Vacation" any time.

There are some "adult" moments, but it has far and away the most intelligent script and most honest sentiment of any Christmas movie of the past 20 years!

In my not-so-humble opinion.

Christmas vacation cracks me up! I always laugh at the "sticky finger" scene. Chevy Chase is one of my favorite comedic
actors.

I'd like to add my Christmas greetings to everyone. Travel safely, eat well, and enter 2008 with some great memories. How about a few great Christmas songs? Nah, I'm not talking about White Christmas or The Christmas Song! How about these:

Snoopy's Christmas
Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer
Jingle Bell Rock
A Chipmunk Christmas

God bless us, every one.
Be yourself; everyone else is taken.

I'd also like to extend Season's Greetings to Muvipix members of all faiths. I wish you all the very best in the coming year!

As to music, I personally look forward to hearing Handel's Messiah. This time of year wouldn't be the same without it.

All the best to everyone in the forum and have a great, safe New Year!

No real favourite Christmas classic but anything related to the season is very nice to watch :)
Although I do remember watching a film called "Jack Frost" once or twice but don't tell anyone

Best wishes and have a great time!
Cheers,
Lee
