My condolences on the loss of your mother, Steve. May she rest in peace, knowing she is remembered and loved.

Your grandson looks so much like YOU! He's growing quickly. Soon you'll have to pass over the quadcopter controls to him! Happy Holidays to you and your family. We do look forward to sharing a bit of your year.

Wonderful Steve! The pace, the edit, the narration = :TU: So very sorry on your Mom's passing. I liked what you said that we don't know how long we have with anyone and we are borrowing them for a little while. I lost my mother 2 years ago Nov. after a long illness and the first year is very hard, but it the good memories that ebb & flow that bring joy with the tears. I am sure you did a fantastic job on her tribute video.

Little Jason is super cute! He does look like you :-D Yes, little Jason needs a drone.

Thanks, Cheryl.

Isn't your logon name (momoffduty) a continual reminder of the last years you spent caring for your Mom? People like that will always be part of our lives, won't they?

Steve,

I'm sorry about the loss of your mother. I'd lost mine a few years ago and have thought about doing a memorial video, but have just been unable to get a start. Your narration adds so much to the mood of the video. It may just inspire me to do a video with narration, rather than just music.

If there's enough interest, I may post the entire 12 minute special tribute I did to Mom. My hesitation isn't that it's too personal, but rather that a lot of it may not have much meaning to people who didn't know her.

But it might share it so that you can see some of the narrative technique I used.

Yes Steve, good memory. I took care of my MIL before my Mom and there were a few years where I juggled both. My MIL was 94 when she passed and she was 43 years my senior. I had kids at home too. Good thing I was younger and had more energy back then because my MIL was a 4' 10" spitfire!

I thought about a tribute video for both of them, but not ready. It was hard enough scanning all the old photos for family.

I would love to see your Mom's tribute if you would like to post. Thanks.

Here's my 12-minute tribute to my mom.

It's full of personal stuff, so don't feel like you can't fast forward through a lot of it. But I did want to share it with my Muvipix friends.

I don't know why that would be, Sidd. But you should still be able to see the video on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnOSEPW1la8

Although that error code usually means that there's a rights issue with the music in a video. So maybe my use of a couple of songs is causing it to be blocked.

If anyone else sees this, I can pull the Beatles music out and see if that makes a difference.

Yeah, I get the same thing Steve, whether on the original post or with the link. When I do a search on the error message it does, indeed, indicate that it's related to copyrighted material.

Okay, I've replaced the YouTube video with one that doesn't include the Beatles song. Let me know if this one works -- or if I have to pull off more music.
