Re: Magnolia TimelapseVery nice work, John! I especially liked that changing light and the occasional bee.

Re: Magnolia TimelapseAwesome John! The flower barely gets opened and the bees come swarming. What was the length of time capturing?

Re: Magnolia TimelapseOne photo every minute for one hundred and fifty minutes. Then import into PPro, crop and zoom, export as .wmv then re-import the .wmv and adjust the running time.
I missed the beginning of the flower opening from the tight bud and the camera position was not ideal as it was limited by the length of the power lead. An electrical extension lead is on my shopping list. Re: Magnolia TimelapseThanks for the info on how you did this. Have you thought about a 24 hour timelapse? Here is one that was shot in a kitchen cabinet with low wattage bulbs for the light. More info on the video page.

Re: Magnolia TimelapseJohn that was really cool. The bee flying in for some breakfast was great.

Re: Magnolia TimelapseI'm working on the originals. This really was a genuine "grab shot" opportunity. The .wmv loses a bit of saturation and contrast but I live in the (vain?) hope that I can "correct" for the changing light on groups of shots and also the contrast - if only for the sake that it gives me practice in PPro and the various correction tools.
Takes me back to my wedding photography days when the challenge was to make sure that the bride's dress retained some "texture" rather than appearing just bland, washed out white. Re: Magnolia TimelapseWhite is so hard to shoot video or photos and retain texture. Your flower video was very good white balance and not washed out.
