A new, small video

Postby pch008 » Sat Sep 21, 2013 4:53 pm

I think because of new technology, age, etc. my video club has become very small! We now meet in a private home and try to address topics at each monthly meet that will help others with their videos. The next meeting is going to be about narration and I came up with this little video for the club: http://youtu.be/AgOToHBGxOo

Very good tips Paul! You are lucky to have a local video club. Sounds like fun. Good tip on the room tone, I've used that as filler a few times.

Oops! I didn't realize I'd used pch008. I should probably go back to pch006... or maybe I should use pch013 but then I'd have to change it every year!

Thanks for the tips, Paul! I have an air conditioner and an oscillating fan going here. You're right - NOT silent!

Excellent advice Paul. I've used ambient room sound as fill many times, and you're right on target about it being a lot different than silence. Just a few hours before watching your video I saw a YouTube product review that a guy had done where he would cut away to stills without any audio at all and it was almost physically uncomfortable to listen to. It's good to hear from you again. :TU:
