Thanks for the kind words. Yep, the museum is in Wapakoneta, or "Wapak" as the locals call it. It's right at the I-75 & Rt. 501 interchange and can be seen from the interstate. After all these years they only recently put up a sign on the interstate side that identifies the building for those on I-75. Unless you're a space program fanatic I wouldn't recommend making it an "only destination" from a far-away place, but it's certainly worth doing if you're in the area. It takes most people about an hour and a half to go through it.

I envy those who have seen one of those launches. TV can't possibly do it justice.

Just for fun, here's a short vid on pronouncing Wapakoneta. :) From YouTube, not mine.

Funny video! But having grown up a Buckeye, I have of course heard of Wapakoneta -- due to it being the hometown of our pride and joy, Neil Armstrong. (Our other space age hero, John Glenn, was from Cambridge.)

Good point, Chuck. When I first moved here, it took me months to learn to pronounce Oconomowoc and Kinnickinnic.

Even though I give tours of the city on weekends and Kinnickinnic is one of the rivers that runs through downtown, I still had to Google its spelling!
