One of my first videos I did with my daughter and a microscope camera. How not to white balance. Done to music and protazoa. Hope you like it.

Re: A microscope video with my daughterReally good! What a great project to do with your daughter! It brought back memories, as I haven't looked at water creatures under a microscope in 50 years. Keep up the good work.

Re: A microscope video with my daughterFun to watch and will be a marvelous memory for you both. I've seen microscope footage in educational film clips, of course, but I don't believe I've ever actually looked through one. Now I at least 'feel like' I have. I may never get in a creek again!
Dumb question: Did you put the lens of your camcorder up to the microscope eyepiece? Lenovo W70l; 1.6 GHz, i7 quad core, Win 7, 64 bit, 16 gigs DDR-3 RAM; NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800; Two 1T 7200 internal drives; BluRay burner
Re: A microscope video with my daughterGreat job on the video! Reminds me of my microscope I got for Xmas one year...about 11 or 12 yo. But, it wasn't that high powered and no camera. Had lots of fun with it though.
Your daughter is adorable and great job on the narration. Hats off to Barney the producer too! aka Cheryl

Re: A microscope video with my daughterNice.
That must have been a fun project.
Re: A microscope video with my daughterThanks to everyone for the very nice reviews. Paz I used a special camera available from Amscope sold on amazon. I think it was 80 bucks. Decent microscope equipment is very easy to get now with the internet and the prices have come way down for good quality. Break that old scope out and look!! Keeps kids occupied for hours (even big ones like me)

Re: A microscope video with my daughterThanks, Aric.
Afraid I'm too old and too far behind in projects I've already started to begin biology. All I can remember from high school is 'spyrogyra' and perhaps that because it is also the name of a music band. Re: A microscope video with my daughterI enjoyed very much, especially the "canvas" (or better the life context) you put this starting lesson in.
How to amused and relaxed in observing what we have under our eyes everyday and is not likely to be seen. I appreciated a lot how the protazoa may be seen as familiar as a dog friend. Do the teacher show the video at school? I think it very educative, relaxing and reassuring.
