Coloring Text

Postby hwmpg » Fri Sep 16, 2022 6:43 pm

Have Premiere Elements 2022 and the Grisetti guide for 2021.

Followed instructions for coloring text. Text never changes color.

I figured out earlier that many TITLES were not available when I set the Video frame size to 1080 x 1920.

Is it possible that the coloring of TEXT is also limited by my choice of frame size?

thanks for any help

Not that I know of.

But you will need to have the text selected in the title and in the Title Adjustments workspace to do it.

Do you have the text fully highlighted and not just the text box selected?

Check out about 40 seconds into this tutorial.

Steve

Thank you for the lesson.

I have been doing exactly as you show in the video. Highlighted the text-----exactly as you did in the video--text looks the same as in your video at this point. While highlighted, went to COLOR, selected a color---which is where the text in your video changes color.

When I do it, the text never changes color.

Could there be some kind of setting that is different? The only non-default kind of thing I did was change the default video frame size to 1080 x 1920.

your help is definitely appreciated, Mr. G

thank you

I'm sorry. If I've never seen it before and I can't duplicate, I don't know what to suggest. hwmpg. I really know of no reason why it would not work.

I assume you're on a Windows 10 or 11 machine with all drivers updated and all the Windows and Premiere Elements updates applied.

I wish I had a suggestion. If you'd like to set up a time for us to Skype and you could share your screen with me I could watch what's happening. I still may not be able to offer a solution but I may see something you're missing -- though, from your description, that's not unlikely. But I'm willing to try.

If you'd like to, write to me at my first name at the name of this web site. (Never put your e-mail address in a forum post, BTW.) We set up a time to Skype for a few minutes some time in the next few days.
