edit clips

I just downloaded Premiere 2021. I was trying to edit a clip for color, lighting, etc. When I move the sliders there is no effect on the clip, even at the extreme ranges. The clip is from my Canon R, it is a mp4. Thanks Al

Can you post a screen capture of your workspace showing your timeline and the adjustment panel you are using>? Once we see it, we may better know what's going on.
