Upgrade to 2021

Postby GriffinR » Fri Oct 16, 2020 2:53 pm

I upgraded to PE2021 about a week ago and haven't had any issues. The GPU support is fantastic.
Steve, I also purchased your latest books.

Thanks for the support

Thanks for letting us know, Bob!

Version 2021 is not a major upgrade for the program. Basic function is virtually identical to version 2020 (which was virtually the same as version 2019) but with a few new features and Guided Edits. I am definitely impressed by the how the timeline uses GPU power to reduce the need to render effects and transitions! That's a nice step forward.

Looks like I may be exploring the switch from Premiere Pro CS6 to Elements 2021 due to the HEVC native support and the dislike of subscription software. But in reading the review of the software I might not be qualified to use the software......ouch this one hurts

https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/adobe-premiere-elements

Adobe considers the audience for its consumer-targeted video editing software to be what it calls memory keepers, who tend to be women in their 40s documenting, embellishing, and sharing their special family moments.

That's just not me... :CS:

My guess is that they have some kind of analytics that they use for who is registering the project on their website. So I guess I should have registered as Blanche Finch... a 39 year old from kokomo... :hyst:

But in the interest of full disclosure:
But really, anyone who wants to create compelling videos without the complexity of a professional application like Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro can take advantage of Premiere Elements.

Dave it is very difficult to start a conspiracy theory when you insist on telling the whole truth.. I suppose next you will have proof the moon is not made of cheese... :hyst:

I absolutely believe the moon is made of cheese. I also have proof that Apollo 11 was fully stocked with Ritz crackers.

This is quite welcome news. At our recent flat earth society meetings there have been rumblings for the Ritz theory, but nice to hear some confirmation from your side of the world too.

I'm always hard at work bringing truth into this world of misinformed heathens. Glad to do my part, Sidd. :TU:
