As far as I have been able to discover, the Pavilon PC that you are considering has two M.2 slots so you could open up the case and install a second 1TB M.2 NVME SSD - that will give maximum performance. Alternatively a "standard" SATA cable connected internal SSD which should be a bit cheaper.

Having said that, and if your choice is to have internal storage, then I would hold back for a couple of months. Presently supply chains are stretched due to Covid and shipments of components are slow in being delivered which, in turn, has cause a price spike.

If you can hold off until more "normal" prices return...
AMD Ryzen 3900x 12C/24T, ASUS x570 mobo, Arctic Liquid Freezer ll 280, Win11 64 bit, 64GB RAM, Radeon RX 570 graphics, Samsung 500GB NVMe 980 PRO (C:), Samsung 970 Evo SSD (D:), Dell U2717D Monitor, Synology DS412+ 8TB NAS, Adobe CS6.

You're an optimistic man John. We've been waiting for our ordered washer/dryer set since the first week of August. The last thing I heard was March.....maybe. :pull:

I would go the M.2 route. The are quite a bit faster than an SSD and for the price I think they make sense if you are looking for speed and quickness.

Hi Folks.....
Hoping everyone had a good Christmas and are looking forward to a better New Year.....good riddance '21.

I posted a computer profile a couple weeks ago and it got away from me. If anyone has a moment can you please take a look at a new profile ? I needed to control costs by scaling back the video card. I intend to use Elements Video Editor in maybe, maybe, 4K. It is my understanding Elaments uses more of the processor than RAM or Video Card, I may be way wrong. I use a Lumix FZ300 if that is relevant.

Sorry to have missed some of the responses above, I'll take the observations forward. Didn't know about the drives' performance differences.

I'll need to look in my preferences to enable Email notifications, if that feature exists here......

Thanks again....
