I am guessing that the feeders must be on the hummingbirds migratory route and they are exhausted and hungry. My understanding is that they are normally very territorial and and fight for dominance of the feeder (males). But cool to see so many together. We have about 4 or 5 in our neighborhood and they feed every couple of hours. The females are pretty smart that they feed at times when the males are gone so they do not get chased off. Re: A Day at the Bird FeederGreat videos and photos. I don't have a feeder up for the hummingbirds, but they come around for the flowers and tree blossoms. There was a nest of them in my neighbors yard.
