360 Driving

Still experimenting.

This could be kind of interesting if I can get the camera to set the exposure based on what's outside the car.

Steve, Looks good. My only comment is I think there is a setting where you can set the default location of the video's main view upon playback.

After seeing that video, I realized the potential that 360 would have if used in a dash cam. It could be more useful than normal video if an accident or other unfortunate event should be captured.

Sidd, I'm trying to figure out how to set the default view for the 360 video. If you can figure it out, let me know.

I saw it in a tutorial the function is called "offset" but it only allows you to set the horizontal position.. But good video the stitch line is just about invisible. well done. And the snow..... ugggg

Here's my driving my grandson home from school. Seems like a good use of the medium, eh?

You ran a stop sign at 1:43.

I certainly did NOT run that stop sign, TreeTops! The lens just exaggerates how far away it is. Watch my full stop at 1:45.

I stand corrected. :)

I slowed the video down and you can sure see that you stopped.

Can you show how you mounted that camera? I would like to use it as a dash cam.

If you rotate the video down you can see it is on a tripod in the car.

I do that too! :fg: Mainly to get new ideas and see how others are handling the nadir. I usually keep my comments to myself, though. ;)

I have to confess that one of the things I looked for is to see if you did a "rolling stop" at the stop sign. I noticed that you did do a complete and proper stop. I even heard you use the turn signal in the first video. Now that so many of our actions are recorded by ourselves or others, we have to be on our toes at all times. :-D
