Movie file size

Postby yosale » Tue Jul 20, 2021 6:31 pm

When I export a movie to a device I get a huge file size of several gigabytes. I then have to go and use a compression software to reduce it.
Is there anyway in Adobe Premier elements to Control of the file size?

You post does not include your source file attributes or any output attributes. Video does make some very large file sizes. To change you need to create a smaller project size and smaller output size. Additional details can let us help you more.

Sidd is right. Without the length of the movie and the resolution of your output it's hard to give specific advice. It might also help to know what device or site you plan to share your video on, as that too is a factor. For instance, if you plan to upload your file to YouTube, the size of the file isn't a major concern because YouTube will re-compress it regardless.

Meantime, every Export & Share template includes a Quality slider that you can use to trade off quality for file size.
