incompatible display drivers preventing launch

Postby mattwinn » Thu Feb 06, 2020 8:48 pm

Hi all,
I am getting a dialogue box from PE that says "incompatible display drivers detected". I updated drivers per Adobe suggestion, and it still will not launch.
Adobe then uninstalled and installed PE 19. Only it came up as a "trial Version" and the dialoge box was still there and now it will not launch.
Adobe is having massive issues with service and i can not get help either in chat or phone.
It will initialize and launch but when the dialogue box about the drivers comes up it prevent any further launch and shuts down.
Thank you,

Matt

Assuming you're on Windows 10, once you've updated your graphics driver enable Show All Files and go to C/ProgramData/Adobe/Premiere Elements/17.0 and delete the BadDrivers.txt file.

If you have more than one version of Premiere Elements on your computer, this file will be in C/ProgramData/Adobe/Premiere Elements.

I have had 3 weeks of downtime( in the middle of basketball season which is critical for me), countless hours working with Adobe. No results.
One question, 30 seconds with Muvipix.com and Steve Grisetti, a quick reboot, and we are back in business.
I had no idea what I was subscribing to when I did and if it would be beneficial. I can not think of a purchase in recent years
that has exceeded all expectations the way Muvipix.com has in the past 8 months. We tend to look at cost out of necessity
most of the time. The cost is rediculously low relative to the value provided by all of you in the Muvipix community.
Thank you.
ps
Do not ask why I did not reach out to you all first because it is a mystery to me.

Thanks again.
