combine split segments

Postby mardafox » Sat Jun 01, 2019 10:29 am

I have a clip that I've edited so that it now has multiple sections/segments. I want to join those segments together. Everything I've read refers to setting in and out points but I've not found how to do that. Note that I'm using only one clip with multiple splits. How do I join the sections and eliminate the splits? I'm running 2019 on Windows 10.

Just place the clips you want to combine on the timeline and then use Export & Share/Device/Computer to output a 1920x1080 video file.

One other option is to use the program's Smart Trim tool, launched from the Tools along the right side of the program. This tool can take all of your selected segments and combine them into a single clip on your timeline.

In my book I cover, step by step, how to use the tool. But you can also get a pretty good idea from my tutorial.

Thank you all for your quick responses. Steve, I have your book and have read about smart trim. Also looked at other sources for help. I'm not sure why I find this so confusing, but I'm catching on. Love the book.

Thanks, Mary! It's actually a very cool tool, once you get how it works. Should be just what you're looking for!
