Specific to Premiere Elements version 2019

Hey Steve,
Since you're talking about PE 2019 I guess the NDA period is over, so assuming you can tell...and if not, just say so.
Does 2019 work on 4k, 60 fps without having to go through hoops?
Does it have both H.264 and H.265 editing?
On Amazon the program is download. Do you happen to know if you can get a disk if you buy directly from Adobe?
thanks,
Paz

Version 2019 does not work with H.265 video.
It's handling of 4K is no different than that of version 2018.
I would expect boxed versions of Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements 2019 will be available. But Adobe will most likely only be selling the program as a download. I don't know if Amazon will make the product available as both a download and a boxed set.

my understanding is that when you purchase the download version you can contact Adobe and request a disc.

Thanks, Steve and Sidd.
I usually take 4k footage directly into Premiere Elements to cut out my junk footage and other easy things I can do there, save without the junk, then take the smaller file into Premiere Pro CS6 for final editing. I prefer Pre Elements. Perhaps because Steve made it so easy with the instructions in his book. But Pro can do so much more. I keep hoping as Pre advances it will catch up with Pro! Maybe someday I'll join Adobe's CC club... If Pre Pro CC was as (relatively) inexpensive as Photoshop CC, I'd do it, but not for Photoshop since I almost never use it now.
thanks again,
Paz

I upgraded through Adobe last night. Today I contacted them to get an actual DVD and they said that they don't provide the DVD any longer.

Make sure you meet the hardware requirements if you do. They just increased the requirements: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/sy ... ments.html

Thanks for the info, Griffin.
Thanks for the link, Steve!
Ooooh, Peru.... thanks for that info too. I don't remember all the specs on my machine right off hand, but I believe it would be able to handle most things these days. Where I'm definitely lacking is Win 10. I still have Win 7 Ultimate on my computer and can usually figure out how to fix whatever needs to be done. OTOH, Mr. B has Win 10 and I haven't had much luck drilling down to solve the little every day type of problems he runs into. Yes, I know I won't be able to stay in yesterday forever but I've dug in for the time being! So. Looks like No CC for me, right now... but the other day I downloaded a PDF and could not figure out how to save it - unless I wanted to save it to 'the cloud.' I suppose that day will come too.
