On large projects is it better to delete renders...

Postby John Walker » Sat Aug 29, 2020 8:48 am

When I am working on large projects I render on a regular basis so that I can check the timeline playback properly.

I'm presuming, I'm building up a mass of unrequired render files where I alter clips/transitions and re-render. Would I be better to delete the render files every so often to allow a fresh set of render files to be produced?

Regards

John

Doesn't matter. They don't take up any significant space.
3.6 ghz i7-7700 running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with 16 gigs RAM and a 2 terrabyte HD. Also iMac 2.6 ghz dual-core, 4 gigs of RAM, running OSX El Capitan and Boot Camp Windows 10 64-bit.

Thanks Steve,

I was concerned that with so many (and I mean a lot) of render files for the project they could get muddled. Probably just me over thinking things :)
