Tutorial on adding Narration and the Smart Mixer

Postby John Walker » Sun Jun 07, 2020 1:09 pm

Can you recommend a tutorial on adding narration? In particular the Smart Mixer. Would I be right in thinking this automatically lowers the music track when there is speech on the voice track? I seem to remember this facility being labelled VOX on my DJ mixer back in the 70s/80s.

I can't find instruction on the Smart Mixer option.

Do you have my book, John? I've got instructions for each of those tools in it.

I haven't done any tutorials for Muvipix on either of the tools (although I have done them for my LinkedIn Learning courses).

Here's one that's made its appearance on YouTube.

The Smart Mixer should be pretty self-explanatory. You just set which tracks you want to dominate and let it run. It does a pretty good job, but I prefer the manual way.

That's excellent Steve, thank you. Just need to practice my narration voice now. :)
